Rajiv Rainier has demonstrated experience across industries that span consumer electronics, gaming, entertainment, telecommunications, healthcare, management consulting and emerging technologies. Besides investing in startups, Rainier was instrumental in funding and contributing to the launch of Venice VR and is currently a Board Director at i3 Simulations. Rainier served as Vice President and GM at Sony Corporation leading corporate strategy and global alliances across Sony entities including Consumer Electronics, Games, Network Services, Pictures, Music, and Semiconductors. During his tenure, Rainier contributed to the launch of several products including Sony's first Google TV, ImageStation Mobile, Mylo, VAIO 3G and VR experiences from Sony Pictures and Sony Music including The Walk, Spider-man, Ghostbusters, Passengers, Jumanji, Pentatonix, Kygo and Chainsmokers. Prior to Sony, Rainier was a management consultant at Deloitte Consulting and executive at UUNET, the world’s first commercial internet service provider. Rainier also contributed to and filed multiple patents focused on the internet, marketing, social networking, electronics, and AI robotics.
