Hannes Kenngott has been working as a surgeon for more than 10 years and leads the surgical research group New Technologies and Data Science. His expertise is computer-assisted medicine, clinical decision support systems, cyber-physical systems in healthcare, machine learning, hospital construction, hospital optimization and digital twins in healthcare. He has used and co-developed solutions with VR, AR and XR. Together with other experts he cofounded healthcare start-ups. He was also part of international consortiums in the area of surgical data science and surgical ontology standardization.
