Prof Dr Philipp Fürnstahl obtained his doctorate in the field of computer-assisted interventions in orthopedics from ETH Zurich in 2010. In 2018, he received the venia legendi and teaching assignment in orthopedic research from the University of Zurich, followed by his appointment as professor for orthopedic research with a focus on applications in computer science in February 2020. Prof Fürnstahl has been the head of the ROCS team at Balgrist University Hospital since 2012.
