Karthik Patanjali

The New York Times

Karthik is a Designer, Researcher and a Technologist. He has 5+ years of experience as an Industrial designer and has a master's degree in Industrial Design. He also has an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. 

He graduated from New York University (NYU) with a Master's in Interactive Telecommunications (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts. His work involves combining design, research and technology in creating compelling experiences. He is passionate about design and technology and everything there is in between. He specializes in scaling up ideas and seeing them through. 

He has worked with the MIT Media Lab at the City Science(Changing Places) research group. He currently works with The New York Times working on augmented reality, virtual reality, 3D Web and other visual journalism efforts.
